2024 has been a year of growth and creativity for Grinder Films.
We are thrilled to announce the addition of Keletso Motau to our director roster! We cannot wait to showcase his work – watch this space – coming soon!
This year, we pushed creative boundaries with several notable campaigns. One highlight was our ad for Heineken’s EXTREME Passion Fruit.
The commercial, directed by Simon Barnes and enhanced by SFX specialist Nic Klemp, utilised the advanced MOCO technology of our Bolt Junior+ rig with multiple triggers and hydraulic systems, to create a vibrant liquid choreography that exuded energy and passion.
Our collaboration on Müller Froop with local service production company The Video Cartel, for their international client Jiminy Creative and agency Publicis, demonstrated how we can seamlessly work together with Cape Town’s service productions, share our expertise and shine in international co-productions. From flying fruit to creamy yogurt and luscious liquids, the campaign showcased the magic that can happen when global teams come together.

We also deepened our long-standing partnership with Woolworths, delivering a Winter campaign that celebrated their dedication to quality. With steamy, vibrant soups and hearty stews shot in a modern aesthetic, this campaign brought warmth and flavour to the spotlight.
Looking ahead, 2025 is already buzzing with excitement. We’re preparing another stunning Woolies campaign and eagerly anticipating Keletso Motau’s debut projects with us. At Grinder Films, the future is brimming with bold, beautiful stories waiting to be told!
